1992 | September 9th: Opening of the Zweisprachiges Bundesgymnasiums Oberwart (Bilingual Grammar School Oberwart) (ZBGO) by the Minister of Education, Dr. Rudolf Scholten | |
1992 - 95 | The ZBGO was located in the Hauptschule Oberwart at that time. | |
1995 | The opening of the new location on the corner of Badgasse and Schulgasse. | |
1995 | May 9th: ZBGO received the “EUROPTIMUS” award in Vienna. | |
1995 | May 18th: Governor Stix, State President Arpad Göncz, and Federal President Klestil visited our school. | |
1995 | September 20th: Federal Minister Gehrer visited our school. | |
1997 | “Der Standard” rated ZBGO in the School-Ranking as the best Grammar School in Burgenland – Austria-wide it was in fourth place. | |
1999 | November 20th: the first Matura Ball in the Inform Hall in Oberwart | |
2000 | The first graduates from our school were bid farewell | |
1992 - 01 | Time and again our school receives visits from various international delegates as well as groups from Hungary and Croatia. | |
