The Golden Cross of Merit was awarded to the former headmaster, Mr Martin Zsivkovits in honour of his leadership of the ZBGO for about three decades.

Mrs Livia Pathy, specialised inspector for the Hungarian language also received the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic of Hungary as a sign of recognition for her activities concerning the Hungarian language.

The ceremony took place in the Hungarian Embassy in Vienna in presence of the ambassador Dr. Andor Nagy.
